Looking for somewhere to escape for a little while? Follow us on the first week of our virtual journey around our the world by visiting 8 wonderfully different UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We have already travelled across countries and continents, to visit a national park in Ethiopia, and historic sites in Benin, Guatemala, Estonia, Czechia, Iraq and Japan.
We will continue our journey over the next few months until we have visited one WHS site in every country.
During our travels, we are acknowledging the global fight against Covid-19. As of today, the total number of confirmed cases in the 8 countries visited is 12,600 (UN World Health Organisation). Every country has reported cases and at least 1 death. 318 people are known to have died in these countries to date, although even a brief review of the statistics suggests real numbers are distorted due to differential access to testing.
