Several of the people remembered on the memorial plaques at Fort Canning Hill in Singapore died at sea or on board ships in Singapore Harbour. Our final departure story recounts the tale of three young men who set off from Plymouth, England, for a life at sea, and were buried together at Singapore in May 1840.
