The weather is colder again, and we can hear the sea again. Yesterday’s weather is just another strange anomaly. We have surveyed the first street and believe it to be over 300 metres long. There is a change of elevation from just 2.7 metres above sea level to more than 23 metres up the street. Perhaps that accounts for something? The fog still surrounds us, and we have so far only met the one local, Mr Knight, who disappeared back into the fog and went we know not where. He seemed to believe that Queen Victoria was still upon the throne. Our research, in the family library in the house in Kent and latterly in the British Library, suggested that the island was owned by Isabella de Fortibus. We must attempt to make contact with the locals, and ask them to take us to their leader.
