John Lubbock’s Collection: A Scandinavian Adventure

We seldom get the opportunity to hear women’s voices in these stories about nineteenth century archaeology and science. Nelly Lubbock, John’s first wife, provides a rare glimpse into her travels with him in an article she wrote about their Scandinavian trip in 1863. This final story in September is based upon her account and draws from her own words.
