While in Covid-19 lockdown at home, Year 7 students at Gosport and Fareham Multi-Academy Trust have plotted their favourite world places onto their own digital map. It’s been a great opportunity to practice geography, writing and digital skills, and The Earth Museum is delighted to be sharing their contributions with you.
Gosport and Fareham Multi-Academy Trust is working as a pilot school to support development of The Earth Museum virtual learning resource. We would love to hear from similar education institutions interested in being involved.
“The Earth Museum has been great at helping the students in our organisation share their experiences in a visual and interactive way. So far we have asked Y7 students to share their favourite place in the world and why this is important to them. We have also started to investigate WW1 artefacts and their historical importance. The platform is simple to use, but enables students to actively engage in the world that they live in.”
