With the Covid-19 pandemic both limiting travel horizons and providing a powerful reminder of global community, we have spent the last few months on a virtual journey visiting a World Heritage Site in every country in the world. As we enter the last month of our marathon expedition, we will share a few of the many fascinating stories behind the places we have visited.

Did you know that the UNESCO World Heritage Sites register has its origins in the building of a dam on the Nile river in Egypt? Our first story will share where the vision for this hugely important global citizen initiative began.
