STEP ONE

STEP TWO
Introducing the Shrink Your Footprint Bin Challenge
- Introducing the Challenge
- Design a poster for the bins
- Registering with TEM Shrink Your Footprint (teacher/ workplace lead)
- 1.5 hour contact time
STEP THREE
Set up the Challenge in Your Classroom/ Workspace
- Prepare the bins (3 in each classroom/ Workspace + general waste bin)
- Attach posters to bins
- Practice weighing and adding data to the SYF web app
- Set up a rota system for weighing and adding data to the SYF web app regularly
- 1 hour contact time + regular weighing and adding data
STEP FOUR
Analyse Bin Data and Create a Plan of Action to Reduce Footprint
- Review the data graphs generated in the app after 1 month, 2 months, 3 months
- Resources to help you create a plan of action for reducing footprint
- 30 minutes contact time per review
- 1 hour contact time plan of action
STEP FIVE
Promote Your Plan Across the School
- Create a short film about your work including:
- Your posters
- Your song
- What you did
- Your data
- Your plan
- Encourage others to join you.
- 3 hours contact time
