The Great Light and Dark Show

In August 2019, the Isle of Wight was designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve; reflecting its work promoting solutions that reconcile the conservation of biodiversity with its sustainable use.

As part of Lift the Lid on Island Culture, Julie Myers worked with communities in West Wight to explore what this means for local people. The resulting film, The Great Light and Dark Show, is our second presentation from this creative programme funded by Arts Council England. It is the next instalment in our project mapping the Island’s cultural heritage in time for the Isle of Wight Walking Festival 2020.
