Moses Roper was an amazing man with an important story. The work of Hannah-Rose Murray at Edinburgh University has made visible the vital and unsung role Roper played in the C19th anti-slavery movement. He shared his own shocking experiences of slavery with communities in towns, cities and villages around Britain with a purpose to inspire humanity. One such place was Daventry.
